Transformers fandom:

Why are you writing fanfiction for a movie that isn't out yet?

I realize that some of them could have been written based on the novel or prequel comics, but the dates on some of the movie-fics is before the release of the first prequel comic and the summaries involve characters that aren't even in the toyline let alone the fic itself. What is wrong with this fandom?

Really? They spend all their time looking like little flying balls?

...you really need to bring up your prequel comics when you come up next semester. And I've still got your Transformers/Spider-man crossover.

Nah, the last three deal with earth. All that really happens is Cadillac Bumble Bee getting chased by Starscream and police car Barricade which is just weird, a decipticon disguised as a police car. I mean, that's Prowl's copyrighted design, or so I thought.

That's one of my problems with many of the comics. I understand that they have to deal with the humans when they're on Earth--but far too many of the stories revolve around the humans with the Transformers being relegated to more secondary characters.

It happens in a lot of the cartoons as well but if that's your problem with the comics, I need to lend you stormbringer. It has nothing but trasformers and Jetfire is of the same design as the Classics toy design.

So I've heard, so I've heard.

It happens in the cartoons, especially the Japanese ones, but it's not to as great an extent. Besides that, a lot of it is the interaction between The Kids and the Transformers. In what I've read of the comics, a lot of it is focused JUST on the humans reacting to Transformer-related events or to their presence.

I do hope that isn't the case in the movie and that people get proper characterization, but I doubt it.

From the commercials I've seen I can't help but feel that might be the case see as none of the transformers on the commercial have not talked at all, but the fact that they have voice actors listed is my last hope for them to prove me wrong.

There's only three voice actors listed, and from what I've heard Bumblebee is going to be a mute.

Although we can also count Scorponok out, as I also hear he's supposed to be mostly mindless.

Well, after reading the novelization, I share your dread that there won't be much robot characterization.

I don't understand why people keep writing as if humans are the most important characters. If we wanted that, we would read Gundam Wing or something.

Screw Gundam Wing. My detest of wing a side, I swear that all robot movie/show makers should watch GaoGaiGar because it'll teach you how to keep a good balance of robots and humans. Not to mention the power of Courage.
