Jun. 7th, 2007 09:09 pmTransformers fandom:
Why are you writing fanfiction for a movie that isn't out yet?
I realize that some of them could have been written based on the novel or prequel comics, but the dates on some of the movie-fics is before the release of the first prequel comic and the summaries involve characters that aren't even in the toyline let alone the fic itself. What is wrong with this fandom?

Date: 2007-06-08 02:59 pm (UTC)It happens in the cartoons, especially the Japanese ones, but it's not to as great an extent. Besides that, a lot of it is the interaction between The Kids and the Transformers. In what I've read of the comics, a lot of it is focused JUST on the humans reacting to Transformer-related events or to their presence.
I do hope that isn't the case in the movie and that people get proper characterization, but I doubt it.
