I feel like someone kicked me off a cliff and told me to start flapping. I don't know anyone here (besides Price) and it's very hard to have to make new friends now. I'm having to simply walk up to people or groups and start up a conversation with no prior introduction and it scares the hell out of me. I'm not a social person, really. It makes me just want to hide in my dorm with my laptop the whole day.

I know the feeling. My first month at college I drew a comic of myself being tossed into a Vortex of Higher Knowledge while a scary chirpy android lady called "Sink or swim, dear! ^_^"

I met all my friends at anime club. Try something along those lines?

*snugs* Yeah, it can be hard. Seriously, find the anime club, or the transfans club, or something else that appeals to you.

Or just do something unmissably glorious and let everyone else come to you, of course. :)

My entire dorm floor is insane. It's so totally awesome. We went on a tour of everyone's rooms on a whim. Get to know the people who live around you, then you'll always have some people to revert back to.

Just go up to people and ask them something really retarded like

"you know how much a elephant weighs?.... Enough to break the ice, hi I'm ______"

Also, just getting to know people in your classes is sometimes easier than trying to meet random new people. It gives you a basis for conversation. Also, try some clubs or something. =) Anywho, good luck and I hope that you find the wonderful new friends that you deserve. =)
