Scary things.
Aug. 7th, 2006 02:03 pmNot as if I was going to see it before, as it looked moronic, but Will Ferrell slash is simply not my cup of energon.
I'd like to know where my self-esteem went; it's taken a bit of a vacation and left me wonderng if everyone is secretly annoyed by me for one reason or another. This is a rather unhappy feeling and results in far too many anxiety dreams and the need to apologize for every single thing I've ever said or done.
Also, get a life already, girl. Was it not bad enough that you ended up on i_wank?

Date: 2006-08-07 06:48 pm (UTC)If it helps any, I can say that I'm not annoyed with you, nor do I loathe your very existance. *hugs?*
And... some people just can't let go, can they? Is she gonna follow you around wherever you post for the rest of her life?

Date: 2006-08-07 06:56 pm (UTC)*accepts hugs* I rather wish I was psychic and knew exactly when someone was getting pissed and how to avoid it.
It would give me a vague feeling of amusement if she did, actually. I'm valiently resisting the urge to start some sort of kerfuffle over in the reviews, because it wouldn't be fair to the author to do so.

Date: 2006-08-07 07:02 pm (UTC)And I'm sorry your self-esteem ran off; I'll help you search for it if you help the next time mine goes into hiding. If this helps, I'm pretty sure that the only one who's seriously annoyed at you is Phoenix, and it's far from secret. And I personally think you should get a medal for putting up with her.

b) a big dog or three
c) good Christian Southern moral values, which means being good neighbors to us and alerting us when our house is on fire.
Phoenix I don't mind unless she takes things outside, as seen here. Riffing me without giving me a chance to argue back.

Date: 2006-08-07 07:11 pm (UTC)And I know you to be a cuddly little Boots person who would certainly tell me if I crossed the line, so this is helpful.
(Crackpot? Where?)

Date: 2006-08-07 07:30 pm (UTC)I don't think I've ever, ever been annoyed at or by you, so you have nothing to worry about there. *cuddles lots*
(-_-;; Crack plot, I meant. *facepalm* Anyway...you know both Screamer and Thrust have been LOLed to go for the opposite of their normal preferences? We thought it was a good time for 'Doom to make a reappearance...
I got bullied into it.^_^)no subject
Date: 2006-08-07 09:09 pm (UTC)That means a lot, Boots. *snuggles*
( Oh my. *giggles* And he'll be far too noble and such to mind the, ah, slight deformity on Thrust. Cue the snugglage!
I also think the LOL should last at least until the curse thing is over. Then we have happy celebratory snugglings and perhaps a bit of a 'waking up in a bed with someone I never wanted to sleep with--OMG where's the shower' moment at some point down the line)

Date: 2006-08-07 09:20 pm (UTC)Any time, m'dear. *cuddles*
(Well, if itty-bitty chibi!'Doom just happens to wander across a shiny shiny seeker whilst holding a couple of crystals, and then turns back to normal, then has a certain seeker pounce him and has another seeker blink, stare at them both then decide it's too hot not to join in, I really don't think he'll object. ;)
And, OMG YES. XD)

Date: 2006-08-07 09:30 pm (UTC)You are good for the self-esteen, yes.
(Yes. We must surely do this at some point in the near future time, yes. *points back to the 'Thrust is a fundie' thread for explanations of why he is still squidy*)

Date: 2006-08-07 09:43 pm (UTC):D Nice to know I'm useful, yes... *snuggles lots and offers chocolate*
(Ohh yesyesyes. If only so we can have the screaming and both trying to explain to Dreadmoon at once and make the other look worse. X) *...heads back to reply to the thread* ^^;;)

Date: 2006-08-07 09:18 pm (UTC)I don't think we were sticky enough for her, though...
I think that's why I like Jive's attitude on things. She draws sticky stuff but is courteous enough to mark them and doesn't mind that some of us think it's silly. And in return, we show her the "don't like, don't look at" courtesy befitting such a civil board as ours.
Plus her Prowl/Lambos stuff is hot.no subject

Well, usually civil, anyway... :)
And yes, I, too, appreciate Jive's atttitude, and I told her so recently. I mean, nowhere in the Haven does it say that you can't post sticky stuff. But it used to be in the rules that you're supposed to indicate the content level of whatever you posted in the Haven, and a "sticky" notice is, IMO, only courteous. Particularly so with art. When Mommimus mentioned looking at the board with her kids looking over her shoulder, it really brought home to me the need for such labels. Many of the folks in the Haven have kids, after all... Unfortunately, the rules got lost in one of the ezBoard crashes. Need to recreate and post them up again, indeed. :)
Anyway, I really don't see the need for "warfare" between the two factions here. I personally can't imagine robots with human parts, but if others want to indulge in it, I'm certainly not going to fuss about it. On the other hand, they could at least keep the characters...well, in character. If you're doing something as far out as robots-with-penises-and-breasts and want to be taken somewhat seriously, then I think keeping all the other elements of their character intact is a very important thing. So, I think commenting on the OOCness of a given character in a stickyfic is completely legitimate and something that the author might want to take to heart...
On the other hand, a lot of these people write this stuff simply to get themselves (and their loyal readership, I s'pose) off, so perhaps ICness isn't uppermost in their minds, y'know? :)
*shudders at Prowl/Lambos.* :)

Date: 2006-08-07 10:35 pm (UTC)Seriously. When it starts getting personal, that obviously crosses the line. And I never did that. My main opposition was not the stickyness (which at this point, I've learned to let slide), but the total OOC characters. If you want to do that, just write original characters and give them the traits you were attributing to the canon characters.
