seiberwing: (WTF?)

Not as if I was going to see it before, as it looked moronic, but Will Ferrell slash is simply not my cup of energon.

I'd like to know where my self-esteem went; it's taken a bit of a vacation and left me wonderng if everyone is secretly annoyed by me for one reason or another. This is a rather unhappy feeling and results in far too many anxiety dreams and the need to apologize for every single thing I've ever said or done.

Also, get a life already, girl. Was it not bad enough that you ended up on i_wank?

*agrees* I don't need to see Will Ferrell kiss anyone. Of either gender. :p

If it helps any, I can say that I'm not annoyed with you, nor do I loathe your very existance. *hugs?*

And... some people just can't let go, can they? Is she gonna follow you around wherever you post for the rest of her life?

Oh, yes, agreed there.

*accepts hugs* I rather wish I was psychic and knew exactly when someone was getting pissed and how to avoid it.

It would give me a vague feeling of amusement if she did, actually. I'm valiently resisting the urge to start some sort of kerfuffle over in the reviews, because it wouldn't be fair to the author to do so.

On the contrary, I think the author should heed your criticism. It sounded perfectly valid and well thought out to me. *shrugs* C'est la vie.

*sigh* I mostly do it on account of being bored, I don't expect to actually be heeded. Not on aff.net or ff.net. But thanks.

Sheesh. I think you seriously do have a stalker. You might want to start wearing bullet-proof jackets out of the house.

And I'm sorry your self-esteem ran off; I'll help you search for it if you help the next time mine goes into hiding. If this helps, I'm pretty sure that the only one who's seriously annoyed at you is Phoenix, and it's far from secret. And I personally think you should get a medal for putting up with her.

No one would dare stalk in this neighborhood. Pretty much everyone has:

a) a shotgun or three
b) a big dog or three
c) good Christian Southern moral values, which means being good neighbors to us and alerting us when our house is on fire.

Phoenix I don't mind unless she takes things outside, as seen here. Riffing me without giving me a chance to argue back.

Sweetness, I for one am not annoyed with you, but I would like to smack the moron over the head with a frying pan until she gets the message. (And Raven and I have come up with a spectacular bit of crackpot for you to make you feel better.) *hugs lots*

Butterfly in icon!

And I know you to be a cuddly little Boots person who would certainly tell me if I crossed the line, so this is helpful.

(Crackpot? Where?)

^_^ Is from the Lepidoptera article on Wiki, the one I found when we talked about butterfly tongues being all curly. I couldn't help but squee and keep the pic. :D

I don't think I've ever, ever been annoyed at or by you, so you have nothing to worry about there. *cuddles lots*

(-_-;; Crack plot, I meant. *facepalm* Anyway...you know both Screamer and Thrust have been LOLed to go for the opposite of their normal preferences? We thought it was a good time for 'Doom to make a reappearance...I got bullied into it. ^_^)

He is a cute little Lepidoptera, he is.

That means a lot, Boots. *snuggles*

( Oh my. *giggles* And he'll be far too noble and such to mind the, ah, slight deformity on Thrust. Cue the snugglage!

I also think the LOL should last at least until the curse thing is over. Then we have happy celebratory snugglings and perhaps a bit of a 'waking up in a bed with someone I never wanted to sleep with--OMG where's the shower' moment at some point down the line)

He is, isn't he? Yes he is, yes... *fusses over foolish/shamelessly*

Any time, m'dear. *cuddles*

(Well, if itty-bitty chibi!'Doom just happens to wander across a shiny shiny seeker whilst holding a couple of crystals, and then turns back to normal, then has a certain seeker pounce him and has another seeker blink, stare at them both then decide it's too hot not to join in, I really don't think he'll object. ;)

And, OMG YES. XD)

You are good for the self-esteen, yes.

(Yes. We must surely do this at some point in the near future time, yes. *points back to the 'Thrust is a fundie' thread for explanations of why he is still squidy*)

It worked for some of the people, but with some of them the curse just stayed there. Also, I'm going with my theory that LOL and other such things stick with robots longer, especially when the effects are mental. Which is why Thrust and Starscream are still goopy.

Seiberwing, think of it this way: no matter how low you may feel, no matter how down you may get, you are not the sort of person who needs to stalk other people and insult them simply because that person gave a bad review to their TF smut.

And that? Makes you pretty damn spiffy.

Dun.

It wasn't Phoenix making me feel down, for the record (that, I just found amusing yet weird). It's just a random wave of shame and guilt that seems to get me every now and then.

And thanks. *grin*

Welp, I can prove her wrong in one regard: Never have you said anything about her on my board. :) And she was there for a while, too. I don't think we were sticky enough for her, though...

To each their own, but seems to me that she's blown things waaaaaaay out of proportion. 'Tis just fanfic, right? If ya can't take crit, no matter how harsh, then keep your stuff off the Internet, y'know?

Date: 2006-08-07 09:18 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seiberwing.livejournal.com
That is, technically, not true. Oasis posted a link to her Ultra Magnus/Rodimus Prime fic from aff.net, and I posted back that I thought it was more stupid and OOC than funny. But yes, people need to learn to take crits. I know I have.

I don't think we were sticky enough for her, though...

I think that's why I like Jive's attitude on things. She draws sticky stuff but is courteous enough to mark them and doesn't mind that some of us think it's silly. And in return, we show her the "don't like, don't look at" courtesy befitting such a civil board as ours. Plus her Prowl/Lambos stuff is hot.

Oh. Well, OK, then you did say something "bad," though I would still contend that you didn't say anything about her, but rather about her work. Bottom line is, if you put your stuff on the Internet, particularly if it's not "mainstream," you are bound to take heat for it and you are fair game. If you can't deal with that, don't post your stuff. People are as free to not like something and say that they don't like it as they are to like something and say that they like it, after all. And, like I said, as far as I can tell, you're criticizing her WORK, not her. That's nothing but fair and, as I said, should be completely expected.

Well, usually civil, anyway... :)

And yes, I, too, appreciate Jive's atttitude, and I told her so recently. I mean, nowhere in the Haven does it say that you can't post sticky stuff. But it used to be in the rules that you're supposed to indicate the content level of whatever you posted in the Haven, and a "sticky" notice is, IMO, only courteous. Particularly so with art. When Mommimus mentioned looking at the board with her kids looking over her shoulder, it really brought home to me the need for such labels. Many of the folks in the Haven have kids, after all... Unfortunately, the rules got lost in one of the ezBoard crashes. Need to recreate and post them up again, indeed. :)

Anyway, I really don't see the need for "warfare" between the two factions here. I personally can't imagine robots with human parts, but if others want to indulge in it, I'm certainly not going to fuss about it. On the other hand, they could at least keep the characters...well, in character. If you're doing something as far out as robots-with-penises-and-breasts and want to be taken somewhat seriously, then I think keeping all the other elements of their character intact is a very important thing. So, I think commenting on the OOCness of a given character in a stickyfic is completely legitimate and something that the author might want to take to heart...

On the other hand, a lot of these people write this stuff simply to get themselves (and their loyal readership, I s'pose) off, so perhaps ICness isn't uppermost in their minds, y'know? :)

*shudders at Prowl/Lambos.* :)

Seriously. When it starts getting personal, that obviously crosses the line. And I never did that. My main opposition was not the stickyness (which at this point, I've learned to let slide), but the total OOC characters. If you want to do that, just write original characters and give them the traits you were attributing to the canon characters.
