I had the oddest dream two nights ago.

Here's a bit of background. I was alone on account of parents being out of town (am staying with my auntie this weekend) and there was a crash in the garage, from what I later found out was a box of books and tapes falling down randomly. I was already rather nervous and it greatly scared me. So when I went to bed, I had a pair of large sharp kitchen-standard security blankets next to me.

Now for the dream:

I was in a whitish room, all alone. In that odd way you just know things in dreams, I knew that someone nearby was intending to hurt me, and that I had a friend who was going to get hurt as well. I was then made (or decided to take) a shower, and then left the room. Outside, I saw my friend on crutches with a broken leg and obvious signs of damage. The other person was there too. I sat down at a table and the person heated a needle of some sort in a flame. The general idea I got was that I was going to be tattooed with a red-hot needle, which would obviously hurt more than a normal one, and the person told me that I had scrubbed off all my dead skin in the shower, meaning so I would feel it more intensely. I had my hand held out on the table, and for some reason I wasn’t afraid. The person started tattooing…and I felt only the sort of poking you get if someone is drawing on the back of your hand with a pen. It didn’t hurt. I looked over and saw that the person was tattooing, in ornate blue letters, the word “story”. And either right before or right after I woke up, I realized that the person was Life. That if you aren’t afraid, it doesn’t hurt as much.

If there’s any other meaning in it, I’m not sure. The significance of the shower might have something to do with the fact that I’ve got a huge thing about privacy (and showers are about as private as things get), and dunno what “story” was all about. Thoughts?

In other news, in about an hour's time I'll be going in to start my new job at the movie theater. I'm nervous as hell, although chances are it'll be fine.

As far as I can tell, a combo is exactly as expensive as its component parts. It's a bit of a gyp. *rings it up*

and about the story... hmmm...
maybe it means there's something you need to write that you've been ignoring for a while, and it's reminding you.
or something will soon come up that will be a good story....
but story was highly connected to you, and not as painful as you thought it would be at first (had the other person been given the same treatment?)

The other person had been bashed about quite a bit and was all bandaged and in a sling and in crutches.

True; I do need to write more.

Seems really random, but kind of meaningful at the same time. I dunno.

whoa, i wish i had dreams like that. o_o;; they're like, dripping with enlightenment.

random crashes at night when you're alone are scary, though.

I know. I feel like it was supposed to be something life changing, only I missed the point.

Perhaps it was trying to say that in your right hand is the story of Life. Ever tried getting your plam read?

Or perhaps it's saying you're destined to be a writer and you shouldn't try to fight it. And since the subconscious usually doesn't come up with bad jokes, that's more likely.

By the way, what's all this about taking Alpha Q to New York?

I got my palm read by a Chinese lady in Chinatown. She read it, then literally wouldn't let me go after she told us the price ($10) and had us pay it. But I like your interpretation.

By the way, what's all this about taking Alpha Q to New York?

I dreamt that my mom, my brother, Alpha Q, and myself were flying to New York to see my granma. The dream mostly consisted of us sitting around in the airport during our layover. Then we discovered that no one had actually told Alpha Q's mommy that we were taking him on a trip, and then one of his teeth came out.

Hmm. Never trust a palm reader that tells you the price after the actual service is done.

Odd dream. *chuckles* Which head did the tooth come out of? Or was it his outer-head?

Not one of the most shrewd moments of my life. And it was all typical vagueness anyway.

The outer one. It was pretty large, bigger than my hand.
