Random poem, but not mine

My mom sent me this a while back, and it cheered me up a good bit on account of I'd been feeling rather worthless and useless. It's by a Persian guy named Hafiz who lived in Persia during the 1300s, and I think it's pretty awesome.


Venus Just Asked Me

Perhaps
For just one minute out of the day,

It may be of value to torture yourself
With thoughts like,

"I should be doing
A hell of a lot more with my life than I am."

But remember,
For just one minute out of the day.

With all the rest of your time,
It would be best
To try looking upon your self more as God does.

For He knows
Your true royal nature.

God is never confused

Venus just leaned down and asked me

I went up to 30mg Adirol today but it made me feel a little sick and dry-mouthed, so it's back down to try 20mg. I feel like we're throwing darts at the dartboard trying to figure the exact angle and amount of force needed to make me not be so unfocused.

Ooh, I loved that movie. That and when they were the narrators in "A Muppet Christmas Carol." Rizzo's kind of my type; he's always either making snarky comments at things or asking where the food is.
