Jan. 1st, 2006 09:27 amFor about the hundredth time I'm going to attempt to reformat myself. Unfortunatly this does not mean a larger missile launcher and a new paint job, but includes such things as less time spent on the internet and sitting around in general (I'm thinking maybe an hour, 1.5 hours on weeknights) and not buying any but the most essential toys until I get a decent job to pay for them.
It's not exactly on account of New Years, but more having to do with the fact that my parents sat me down and said "This is where you've fucked up, this is where you need to get better." And "this" covered a longer list than I'd like to have.
Unfortunatly, I've been here many times before and the attempts to turn myself into something slightly neater, more useful, and more socially adept than a slime mold have usually ended before the first week. I don't want that to happen this time, so I am going to try my damndest to actually make this work. I've only got about four months to do it with because...well, I don't know if they'd actaully follow through, but there was mention of not sending me to college if I didn't shape up. Which quite honestly scares me.
Okay, you can all come out, angsting is over. In other news, tonight's the last night of Hannukah, meaning my last day toget more presents celebrate the joyous festival of lights and get my Hannukah-ficlet done. Happy Hannukah, y'all.

Date: 2006-01-02 12:49 am (UTC)Heh @ practicing for college. No one here knows what the fuck they're doing. It's kind of awesome. xD I guarantee you at least 3/4 of your classmates will do their work at the last second. It will actually be pretty amusing once you get there watching the multitudinous ways a human being has to flip the fuck out during exams periods and before essays are due.
You're a senior next year, right?
And heck, Transformers seems a pretty stable hobby xD I actually used RP during my college interview as an angle to make myself seem interesting. Except I called it collaborative writing, and brought some of my world-building sheets (a map I made for one of my stories) out to play. As it so happens the interview impressed the admissions dude enough that I got a full ride to a 43k/yr school, so hay. :v
God no, if I buy this many toys for myself, imagine what I would do with a kid. My room would be covered in Gobots (little tyke's Transformers).
Oh God, teh cute, it is slaying me. xD I now have to name a Sim Seiber. And make it have babies. And download Transformers somewhere for maximum Realness. xD

I'm a senior this year, actually, so pressure's really on in some ways. Your RP stuff is creative, but everyone does World of Warcraft these days and calls it RPing. My contribuition to society is some fanfiction and some scant poems.

I should probably be some sort of disturbed by this, but I'm simply amused. If you do you'll have to keep me updated on its progress.

I always am, but you seemed pretty busy. Plus, I should probably get back into activity on Sages so they have something to do, haha.

Oh man, second semester senior year, oy vey. I did jack shit second semester senior year. It showed, haha, at the beginning of the school year I had to write a letter to the Dean of Admissions explaining my F in African-American Literature. Do you know how hard it is to come up with a polite way to say "I honestly did not give a shit, and was only taking that class because I needed to fill up space on my schedule"? I actually wrote a pretty nice letter, I was tres proud. I can show it to you if you want. In case you, you know, find yourself in the same position. xD Which I hope you don't. It's a wee bit awkward, haha.

The trick is not to call it fanfiction when you discuss it. =) But god yeah, I hear you on the WoW shit. My little brother at least plays blatantly because he likes leveling-up and killing shit, doesn't dress it up with nonsense about RPing his orc princess or whatever.

Oh, of course. I will update

What should I call it, then?
Oh, of course. I will update simantics eventually, after all. And yeah, I realized after the fact how freaking creepy that comment could be taken as. XD Oops. XD
I like the idea, actually. It sounds cool.
