Finally, the pictures from my househunting trip. No, you do not get to see the house, not yet. You will see it when it is ours.

So the building across the street had swastikas on it. IDK.

Very nice of Bay to put these up, to make sure everyone understood what was going on. I like the "Do not be alarmed", but it needs the word "citizens" on the end.

Reclusemun told me to find Barricade. I found a barricade. Almost the same thing.

Some classy pictures of random Chicago. The place is ridiculously photogenic, if it was human it would be a model.

My first views of the Transformers 3 set were mostly covered up cars and pieces of fake rubble. It wasn't until our third or fourth crowd-covered barricade that we saw...Him.
He was chillin' behind the barricades first, but then they drove him out and took him around the corner for his photo-ops, where he was immediatly mobbed by fans and small children.

Awwwww yeah.

And teenage girls, for some reason? Again, idk.
I think he's stripping for us. Lol fanservice.

Prime's Pretender isn't nearly as hot as the fangirls seem to think it'll be.

Of course Optimus Prime puts in hard work helping out the set crew.

Kelly and I seriously considered hitting one of them over the head and taking his shirt, but that's probably illegal. This guy posed for us, between saying "no cameras please" and secretly informing us that if we did use cameras there was technically nothing he could do to stop it.

Set trucks. Nemesis Prime's really put on weight.

Couldn't steal these either.

One of the guards lets me pose with her hat on. The hat was awesome.

I have absolutely no idea who this guy was or why all these women wanted pictures with him. Anyone know? I don't think he's Bay.

Covered cars.

More rubble.

More Ratchet! I actually wandered over and smacked his side before running off, to which the guard replied, "Are you kidding me?!" and I answered, "You have your hobbies!".

...really hoping this isn't part of the film.

Back to more Chicago pictures, this one the first night while we wandered around looking for a suitable restaurant. We wound up at Flattop Grill, which is basically an Asian buffet except at the end they stir-fry everything for you and occasionally put flatbread in it. Very tasty.

The next day in the pub watching the World Cup finals. The bar had a habit of going "Aaaaah--aww" every time someone made a near goal and went nuts after Spain finally did something. Roomie is confused and horrified by this strange custom.

Revelers after the cup in Millenium Park. We can only assume the Netherlands supporters are out drinking their troubles away. Or smoking them.

...corn. In a maze pattern. I refuse to call it a 'corn maze' as that implies a field of corn mowed into a maze. This is just silly.

I'm pretty sure this is where the Music Meister will make his latest world takeover attempt.

More park and the boardwalk beyond it.

Seagulls patrolling the Canadian border.

The Field Museum, one of my brother's favorite places. And yes that is an elephant made of tires.

And after that we snuck into the Hilton. It's a gorgeous sort of place. Roomie fit in perfectly, of course, as she was dressed nicely and had perfect posture and spoke softly. I believe she's had etiquette and politics classes in the past, so we sort of had the butch/femme thing going with me and my unshaven legs in capris and tank top.

Rained a lot that night. I may put this one on my DevArt, I'm very proud of it.

The next day. This is Hydra, a weimeraner who lives down the street from The House. We hung out with her owner and walked with her a bit. Very excitable dog.

...god, this city is beautiful.
So now I have something to think on during those long deli hours.
