Internet's been a bit splotchy for the last couple of days, but I think it'll be back to normal in a day or two. Stuff's been going on, and it's mostly not been good stuff.
Also, anyone who attends our place of education, contact me.

Date: 2005-11-15 10:38 pm (UTC)The other things have mostly been constant fights with my mom for the last two days and general stuff not going my way. Can't seem to do much right at the moment.

Date: 2005-11-15 10:57 pm (UTC)*hugs you* Any way you can avoid each other for a while until things calm down a bit? Short of saying I'm sorry and I'm here if you need anyone to rant to, I don't know how much I can help other than to say you're doing a wonderful job of keeping my mind off my jaw. *hopeful half-smile* That's something right, yes?

Date: 2005-11-15 11:02 pm (UTC)Ranting is good. Talking helps be blow off steam and feel better. What's with your jaw?

Date: 2005-11-15 11:14 pm (UTC)Rant all you like, I'm not busy. *grins*
Wisdom tooth. Shifting around and being a nuisance. Jaw hurts, side of throat's irritating, gum's raw. Dentist appointment soon, methinks. Is fixable - nothing too major wrong. :/

Date: 2005-11-15 11:16 pm (UTC)Oh, ick. My condolences. *offers various tasty liquids that don't hurt the throat*

Date: 2005-11-15 11:19 pm (UTC)Calming down is good, but how about the odd outbreak of spontaneous helping-around-the-house or something? That's always appreciated, however suspiciously. Might get her to relax some and not be so tetchy.
*accepts gratefully* thanks. It's stupid, really - the tooth's right at the back of my throat and pretty sore, so what hurts the most when I swallow is my tongue getting in its way. *snorts*

Date: 2005-11-15 11:21 pm (UTC)Why is it doing that?
no subject
Date: 2005-11-15 11:29 pm (UTC)*growls* Because it's literally at the back of my throat, and all around it is achy and painful, so if I shut my mouth and I'm not careful or if the side of my tongue pokes it there is ouch. My teeth aren't desperately even and sometimes it feels like my tongue's too big for my mouth. Like now. *mutters*

Date: 2005-11-15 11:33 pm (UTC)Wow. And here I always wondered why someone would want their wisdom teeth taken out. Now I know; if that were me I'd certainly consent. If that's what you're doing, anyway.

Date: 2005-11-15 11:39 pm (UTC)I really, really don't have the room for more teeth at the back of my jaw. If it's an option I can take I'm probably not going to turn it down - only thing is my brother had to have some of his baby teeth taken out and the anaesthetic made him pretty ill afterwards. That's not so good, even though the situation's a bit different.
I'm not going anywhere near a gas mask.

Date: 2005-11-15 11:44 pm (UTC)It's either that or a needle, isn't it? I can't think you'd want to do it unanaesthetized.

Date: 2005-11-15 11:53 pm (UTC)Unless they've another way of doing it; they're the only two I know of. And oh hell no.

^_^ *grins*
Good for her. We get a lot of 'mature students' coming in to our Uni, and they seem to really like going back. Good luck to her.

Date: 2005-11-16 01:25 am (UTC)and don't worry about the econ test so much...but if your grades on those don't improve it might not be advisable to take the AP test (I did after grades kinda like that and got a 2)
and I will be protesting monday. *evil grin*

Date: 2005-11-17 12:00 am (UTC)but just so you know, she was the best of the applicants for the position. That's likely the ONLY reason she got the job in the first place.
just in case none of you have heard, even a majority of the facculty hates her ( reason #32 of why: in the first staff meeting, not only did she forbid Bob Simon to draw, she started it off with this little clap thing to get their attention, and after she did it they were supposed to repeat it back. About three people did, and the rest gave her the "go to hell" look.) XD
I just wish they'd fire her and make carringer the acting administrator until they can find someone actually qualified for the position.

Date: 2005-11-17 12:06 am (UTC)What. The. Fuck. If she's the best, that's pretty damn sad. At least she can't enforce most of her rules with none of the faculty liking her.
((BTW, stop with the mentioning of actual names. This be the internet and I like to remain androgynously anonymous))
