To the writers of Devil May Cry 2:

What the fuck was that? Who is Lucia and why is Dante hanging out with her? Why do we care about her big surprising twist? Where's Trish gone? Who is this Arius guy and why does he sound like a Saturday Morning Cartoon version of Hitler? What happened to Mundus? Is he sockpuppeting as Argosax? Where did this guidepost mission statement thing come from? And who the fuck hired Matier's voice actor?

I'd say they were high, but it doesn't contain enough creativity and inspiration for them to have been high. They should have borrowed whatever stuff the people who designed the final boss were smoking.

Also, while I dislike the way most of the Bayformer designs translate to toy form, Ravage is a beauty. Even if his altmode is basically him doing kitty yoga. *fusses over evil robot death cat*

...I see you stumbled on the black sheep of the DMC games. xD

So Accounting Nightmare mentioned. Devil May Cry didn't make much sense either, especially as regards the ending, but at least it managed a consistent story and halfway decent bosses. Visuals were nicer too.

DMC3, for all its garish-ness, is probably the best of the series as far as I'm concerned. I loved 1 for what it was, but with these games it's hit and miss, it really depends on the player.

I wasn't even playing the game and I think it looks rubbish.

What is this DMC2 you speak of? No such thing exists. There only three DMC games. DMC1 was so awesome it was already its own sequel. [/joke]

This is normally what happens when you take a franchise away from the original creative team and give it to some random in house team. It's one reason I'm looking forward to Bayonetta since the original team left capcom and made their own studio.

It's not just that. Even if DMC2 was a complete standalone it wouldn't make a lick of sense.
