seiberwing: (Bad Idea)
[personal profile] seiberwing
Meme, to help jumpstart my creativity! Seriously, been suffering over here.

Give me a character from any fandom, tv show, movie, book you know that I know (AUs count as well) and I will tell you:
a. My favorite thing about that character.
b. My least favorite thing about that character.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own verse.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat.
e. One crossover universe for them I think would be even neater.
f. Their ship from hell.
g. Their song.
h. The title of their biography or autobiography.
i. The last bad dream they had.
j. How they're gonna shuffle off the mortal coil, if they haven't already.

Shang Tsung, from MK: Conquest! Because I know nobody else will ask for him. *grin*

a) Smart, powerful, smokin' hot, cunning, immortal...the hardest part is picking a single one.
b) He has rather lamentable taste in women. Omegis, really?
c) Shao Kahn
d) If personal 'verses count, I think he'd be rather compatible with Tariq.
e) I think someone of the powerful soul-eating variety might fit well into the Marvel universe, perhaps in Dr. Strange's department.
f) Raiden.
g) "Devil is a Loser" by Lordi
h) Your Soul is Mine, what else?
i) Something humiliating, possibly a flashback to when he lost Mortal Kombat but with far more humilation involved.
j) Fighting against a far more powerful enemy, falling to his knees beaten and broken, finally dying when his neck is snapped with one swift, victorious snap. Although that's how most of the characters on the show are probably going to bite it.

Because I don't quite know what to ask for, I will go for TF:ani Sentinel Prime. 8)

Date: 2009-06-05 02:23 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seiberwing.livejournal.com
a) He's complex. We don't get that very much in bad guys.
b) He's a controlling, power-hungry asshole with no sense of morality that doesn't come from Autobot propaganda. I like him, but I like him more when he's getting his pride fed to him.
c) Sentinel seems to be default with Ultra Magnus, which I agree with.
d) "HK-47. They can bond over how gross organics are. :D" - [livejournal.com profile] alanahikarichan
e) Star Trek. He's not any more obnoxious than some of the self-centered cultures they've run into.
f) Megatron. Hell for Sentinel, anyway. Alternately, Sunstorm.
g) "Lobochevsky" by Tom Lehrer
h) A Primer Prime: How I Saved The Autobots From Certain Death. Or something horrifically pretentious like that.
j) I like to think he'll die in Optimus Magnus' arms after bravely taking on a horde of Decepticons and defending something important at the cost of his own life. He needs some measure of redemption.

Thrust, because someone has to.

Date: 2009-06-05 03:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seiberwing.livejournal.com
a) He actually has a brain, unlike pretty much everyone else in the series.
b) The astrology thing gets a bit old after a while.
c) Jetfire. Thrust has ways of making Autobot jet fetishists talk...
d) TFA Shockwave. They would have plotting parties.
e) I always thought that if I ever do a West Wing/Transformers crossover, Thrust should be front and center.
f) Starscream
g) "Mighty Wings" by Cheap Trick. Generic jet song.
h) Alignment
i) Nightmares of failure, I imagine. Either captured by the Autobots or humiliated in front of the other Decepticons.
j) Well, we already know that one.

Date: 2009-06-05 05:58 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] koilungfish.livejournal.com
Don't know about "jet fetishist". Jetfire's a shuttle. He's probably just frustrated by the lack of friendly fliers to hit on.

"Mighty Wings" is not a generic jet song. It is a jet *porn* song.

What, written by Furman?

Now do Blitzwing ;)

Date: 2009-06-05 06:26 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seiberwing.livejournal.com
Do Blitzwing? I'm a bit small for him.

I don't think Thrust wants Furman writing his biography. It would probably be a bit unsubtle for his liking.

Wasn't Furman's unofficial G2 sequel novel called "Alignment"?

a) He's fun. He's really, really fun. His psychology is great to play with and he always makes things more interesting whenever he's onscreen.
b) You try depicting a guy with a primarily visual way of representing himself in a textual medium without referring to his facial shift every five sentences. ...no, seriously, do it. It would be awesome.
c) Bulkhead. Artshipping!
d) Alpha Q would be a total copout, I suppose. Killdozer?
e) Stargate SG-1
f) Bumblebee
g) "You May Be Right" by Billy Joel
h) Servo Salad With a Variety of Toppings.
i) Immobilized and buried alive with muffled screaming over the commlink.
j) Large explosion caused by a Decepticon plot gone wrong, because that's always a good way to get rid of someone off-camera.

He'd certainly be a challenge ... not sure what I'd write about him.

f) Bumblebee
What about Ultra Magnus?

g) "You May Be Right" by Billy Joel
Hueh. I would have picked "Colliding in Mind" by Skyfire.

i) Immobilized and buried alive with muffled screaming over the commlink.
Does he have any others? ;)

I know you had that backstory picked out, but that was before he got into his three face rhythm.

Why Magnus?

Don't know Skyfire. I have a pretty limited song list.

Does he have any others? ;)

Having someone else at the party with the same paint job.

Eh, it'd actually be easier to write that as, say, him telling it to Lugnut. It allows for more perspective in several directions.

Well, who else would have been leading the Autobots ... ?

Check your email :)

Haah.

a) Power and passion. When he's done well you get a thrill just watching him go off.
b) His level of madness is hard to get a handle on. Writing him with dignity when he's acting in a very undignified manner is difficult.
c) Rodimus Prime, of course.
d) Galvatron doesn't ship well, not with my fandoms. Ask [livejournal.com profile] faithinfire, there's probably someone single in WH40K with an interest in Evil, Size Large.
e) Something suitably cosmic-horror. I'd say Lovecraft, but I've only read "Rats in the Walls". *ducks head*
f) Ultra Magnus
g) Probably some loud incoherant metal song that I don't have. "Bang Bang" by Armchair Cynic is probably the closest I can get.
h) He wouldn't have one. He lets his deeds speak for him.
i) Restrained, in pain, broken down and left to beg for mercy.
j) A loud death, in fire and sparks. The body would be easy to find but the rest of the scenery would be obliterated.

Errm....*forehead-taps self*
TF:A's Sari?

Date: 2009-06-06 11:09 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seiberwing.livejournal.com
a. She's a good female child sidekick, who generally isn't damsel in distress all the time but isn't an arrogant prick like Kicker.
b. Season Three Suefication. I liked Sari-the-character when she was aged up, especially in Human Error, but Sari-the-plot-device got old real fast.
c. Shipping Sari feels wrong, even if she's not eight anymore, but I could see Bumblebee.
d. She's a teenager she's a teenager, it's okay to ship now. Alexis.
e. Fringe.
f. Nanosec.
g. "Out of the Shadows" by Iron Maiden
h. The title of their biography or autobiography.
i. Their technoorganic halves conflicting with each other, tearing her apart.
j. I think Sari's going to live for quite a while, especially now that her technological half is further revealed, but at some point using too much of that tech-magic at once will overload and destroy her. But in the name of a good cause.

So would it be a total capout to ask for Insecticomics!Dreadmoon?

Date: 2009-06-06 09:48 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] seiberwing.livejournal.com
It would not.

a) He's very formal and precise, which means he doesn't fall prey to a lot of silliness inherent in the Insecticomics environment.
b) A little too uptight, sometimes.
c) ThrustThrustThrust. They can raise little agnostic Mini-Cons together.
d) ...okay, you've got me on this one. I'm really bad at shipping him with anyone who's not Armada Thrust or G1 Starscream.
e) "Skin Horse"
f) Elita 1
g) "Cold" by Emile Autumn
h) Kalis
i) Really, really bad dream? He was in a bad Transformers-turn-human fanfic.
j) Given that the only way Insecticomics characters seem to die is by gunshots, probably falling in battle. Starscream, of course, refuses to let him go anywhere so silly as the afterlife without permission.

From: [identity profile] seiberwing.livejournal.com
a) Someone who actually calls the Autobot high command on their bullshit earns a permanent place in my fannish heart.
b) The grumpiness can get a bit too much, especially in the case of Wreck-Gar where it nearly doomed the city.
c) Arcee. After a long time and a lot of therapy.
d) Vector Prime.
e) M*A*S*H. I can't help thinking he'd fit in well there.
f) Lockdown
g) "American Tune" by Simon and Garfunkel
h) The Forgotten Soldiers
i) The Great War. That's enough bad dreams for centuries.
j) He goes back for that one injured mech everyone wanted him to leave behind. The injured mech walks out alive. He doesn't.

g) "Lobochevsky" by Tom Lehrer

You are made of win. It's perfect, just perfect.

For the record, I think the challenge of trying to write Blitzwing and conveying his personality shifts just through dialogue (and possibly perception, if it's first or third person limited) would be ridiculously fun...just never know what to write about.

Might as well ask it, since I keep popping in for one reason or another. Can I friend you? Please? Because you're kind of sort of made of awesome.

Friend away, I love friends. ^_^

Oh sweet pants, I can't unsee it. Pretty dead-on all around.

I had a small RP going on with...I don't remember who that had that basic premise. Involved him impersonating an ambulance and freaking Radar out very badly.

The only time I've written Blitzwing in fic was when he was constantly in happy mode (due to being happy for most of the fic).

a. Under the annoying punk exterior, he really is a pretty decent guy who stands by his friends.
b. Every time the world sends him a hint to shape up his act, he forgets it an episode later. Aargh.
c. Bulkhead.
d. Cheetor.
e. Psychonauts, actually.
f. Megatron. What, a third of the slash fandom seems to like it.
g. That one techno song I don't know the name of but that they play every time there's a rave in a movie.
h. Why I'm Awesome
i. Something of the 'showing up to school in your underwear variety', possibly discovering that his stingers now sprout flowers and he's got Starscream's chin. And everyone's laughing at him for it.
j. A Decepticon will put a knife through his back when he's not looking, and he'll still have a smile on his face when he hits the ground.
