So...yeah. Endgame Part 1 made me imitate Thrust in my icon.



The Autobots are totally and completely fucked. It's kind of interesting how the series has moved from defeating the Decepticons by the end of the episode/two-parter to defeating the Decepticon plan of the moment but only increasing their power in the long run.

GIANT FLYING LUGNUT SHIPS. HOLY HELL. Also Shockwave is sexy-smooth, but we knew that, and Starscream rolling down the hallway is constantly hilarious. He's a smart guy, he just isn't that good at planning ahead. Still sucks to be Arcee but at least she seems to be up, moving around, and actually know who Megatron is--which I would say is a step in the right direction if she doesn't go braindead again. And finally the female clone's shown up, if only for thirty seconds and without explanation. Whatever.

The Sari Ex Machina and Cyberninja Ex Machina are kinda starting to grate, I will admit. It's funny how bar "Human Error" Sari is making far fewer actual appearances, but when she does appear she's pulling random superpowers out of her subspace pockets for elements that could easily be taken care of by Sumdac going "o hey, try a microtransmitter or something". I think the writers kinda have the wrong idea there. And Prowl is apparently the Chosen One or something? I don't know.

The "how they all met" flashbacks were very lovely. I'm starting to think that Ultra Magnus was originally grooming Optimus to be his successor, but took Sentinel instead after Optimus was kicked out. One wonders what that says about the rest of their graduating class. We also find out how Prowl got assigned to a space bridge repair team (answer: he wasn't), which I found very satisfying. He seemed to be a lot more aggressive than he does normally, although from grief or needing further character development I'm not sure. He'd probably become a lot more isolated from the others, they aren't the kind of people he'd want to interact with.

Haven't seen anything of Cybertron and Sentinel wondering where the heck his ninjaboy went. I can't imagine they'll leave Sentinel in command at the end of the season and Ultra Magnus is all but gone by now, so...

Optimus Magnus? I can deal with that right now.

Now I want to write fic where Sentinel and Starscream are in charge after Optimus and Megatron are out of commission... And trying to win the war. That would be so fail it would be win...

(That's pretty much how I see it.

This episode made me cry. I have never cried watching TF: A. When Optimus put his hand on Prowl's shoulder, I lost it. My daughter thought I was nuts. My heart went out to both of them but I just wanted to huggle Prowl and tell him it would be all right.

And yeah, Optimus Magnus. I can live with that too.

Of course, if Shockwave and Lugnut had gotten into a girly slap fight, that would have been the best. (When Shockwave laughed after Lugnut screwed up, I snorted coffee up my nose.) I /loved/ the way Starscream egged Lugnut on. And then of course the rollin'.

Thouuuuugh, I wonder, if Jazz completed his cyberninja training, can he do processor over matter, too? Because Prowl seems more skilled than Jazz, but then why is Jazz "training" him?

I hope the Dinobots make an appearance before the end. My favorite quote from the entire series is still, "Me Grimlock go with you! But me go with you ALONE!"
