When he brought up Milgram in his talk he said something to the effect of "The most unethical experiment ever done, until I came along". From the tone of things I could really tell he'd pulled a Heel Face Turn in a huge way after the prison experiment, he's a big campaigner now against systems that encourage abusive behavior like Abu Ghraib.
He did the intro to psych videos in my high school psychology class, when I was just getting into the topic. I was very impressed by his beard. ...apparently this is actually a pretty common reaction.
