For some reason I seem to have a strange adeptness at taking pictures of snow-covered scenery. Perhaps my talent will someday save the world and I have only yet to discover its power because I live in a state that sees severe snow maybe five times a decade.

The street.

There's an old dilapidated barn on top of one of our hills, not a clue who even owns it. It's been falling down for years and it makes for some good abandoned-place-shots.

A peek inside the barn.

My animal companion/sledding partner/younger brother rests against rusty hoop things while once again asking if we can go home now. I took him sledding and he agreed to follow me around to look at the barn.

And for some reason there was a bicycle stashed in the chicken coop. I do not understand this town.

Animal tracks. Apparently it was a pretty busy area.

I don't seem to do well with very small pictures. There were a lot, this was one of the best.

Now this one I like. Since the weather was so grand my parents and I wandered off to the arboretum and all the delicious snow-covered goodness therein.

The aforementioned parents.

Where the ice really gets interesting, and where I have trouble getting a good picture of it, is when it collects on grass and branches. In the right light it looks like the trees are made of glass.

One of the local deer pauses to scrape at the ground.

Even the birds are iced in.

Victory tree stays leafy.

...unusual conifers!
