Yes, I'm back. Trip wasn't that bad actually; I got a good bit of homework and fic writing done on a borrowed laptop.

It's a bit hard to be mad at someone when you're eating tiramisu in a fancy restaurant with a bag of TF toys(Scourge, Override, Ironhide, and Mirage) at your feet and "Fiddler on the Roof" ticket stubs in your pocket. But then she starts insinuating that you eat too much and complaining about herself all the damn time and you remember.

But life is better now.

Should I feel bad for thinking she wants to buy my loyalty? I mean, I did have a fun time when I didn't have to talk directly with her(orchestra seats for "Fiddler" and then Times Square Toys-R-Us isn't bad, you know).

*thinks* Do you have any specific reason to? I dunno, arguments in the family or something? She could just be lonely under all the grouch and not sure how to get some company from the rest of her family or something...

Lonely, yes, but she also argues with my family. She hates my mother, for one thing, and treats both my parents like scrap. Pampers my brother and treats him like a little kid. She doesn't get what's going on with him. Don't even know if she believes in mental disorders, but if she's in our family chances are she does. Doctor says she has a personality disorder.

She probably is lonely. Doesn't mean I want to pity her.

In that case it sounds like she wants a pet granddaughter she can mould. Buying you presents and things then sniping about you? I'm getting echoes of Mr Burns. You're probably right to think that, from the sound of things...I wouldn't feel bad, just take her with a pinch of salt when you have to. worried look*
