Internet's been a bit splotchy for the last couple of days, but I think it'll be back to normal in a day or two. Stuff's been going on, and it's mostly not been good stuff.

Also, anyone who attends our place of education, contact me.

The other things. Internet's a variable thing, bad things to people aren't.

*hugs you* Any way you can avoid each other for a while until things calm down a bit? Short of saying I'm sorry and I'm here if you need anyone to rant to, I don't know how much I can help other than to say you're doing a wonderful job of keeping my mind off my jaw. *hopeful half-smile* That's something right, yes?

It's getting better, it's just that we had a big arguement yesterday morning, and everything I did past then just got her mad again, even the stuff that wasn't my fault. The whole day, I took one step forward, then another step back, and proceeding to trip and fall and knock over something important. Metaphorically speaking. And there was the 61% on the Econ test.

Ranting is good. Talking helps be blow off steam and feel better. What's with your jaw?

*sympathetic noise* Mums are like tat sometimes. Any way you can ake it up to her, even if it wasn't your fault - I dunno, do the dishes when you don't need to or offer to cook? Peace offering? It sounds like she's stressing out over something unrelated and taking it out on the other tiny things.

Rant all you like, I'm not busy. *grins*

Wisdom tooth. Shifting around and being a nuisance. Jaw hurts, side of throat's irritating, gum's raw. Dentist appointment soon, methinks. Is fixable - nothing too major wrong. :/

Me cooking would make things worse, I can barely do eggs. Dishes, perhaps. She's not one to be swayed by that sort of bribery. I think she's calming down, though.

Oh, ick. My condolences. *offers various tasty liquids that don't hurt the throat*

Calming down is good, but how about the odd outbreak of spontaneous helping-around-the-house or something? That's always appreciated, however suspiciously. Might get her to relax some and not be so tetchy.

*accepts gratefully* thanks. It's stupid, really - the tooth's right at the back of my throat and pretty sore, so what hurts the most when I swallow is my tongue getting in its way. *snorts*

I'd have to get the chores I've already racked up done first. *sighs* Dunno what's with her this week.

Why is it doing that?

That could make it more difficult to get further into her good books again. Anything going on at work if she works - or maybe she's coming down with something? Or, heck, just tired. Mug of tea when she comes in might do something, she'd probably be glad of it if it's getting colder where you are yet.

*growls* Because it's literally at the back of my throat, and all around it is achy and painful, so if I shut my mouth and I'm not careful or if the side of my tongue pokes it there is ouch. My teeth aren't desperately even and sometimes it feels like my tongue's too big for my mouth. Like now. *mutters*

Little butter-her-up things, that could work. And I like the tea idea.

Wow. And here I always wondered why someone would want their wisdom teeth taken out. Now I know; if that were me I'd certainly consent. If that's what you're doing, anyway.

*grins* Anything small, considerate and not-too-obvious. especially if she's just frazzled enough to be grateful and not question the why behind it/them. Tea's part of my mum's staple diet; I'm assuming it's a similar thing world-wide. ;)

I really, really don't have the room for more teeth at the back of my jaw. If it's an option I can take I'm probably not going to turn it down - only thing is my brother had to have some of his baby teeth taken out and the anaesthetic made him pretty ill afterwards. That's not so good, even though the situation's a bit different.

I'm not going anywhere near a gas mask.

Mom does love her green tea, especially when she's at the computer working on something. She's a writer, a lot of her time is research or other computer things.

It's either that or a needle, isn't it? I can't think you'd want to do it unanaesthetized.

Really? Wow. So spontaneous bringins of tea would be appreciated, then, especally if/when she's busy...

Unless they've another way of doing it; they're the only two I know of. And oh hell no.

Mostly for magazine/group stuff, although she did write a book on Jewish history recently. *makes mental note to bring tea*

But still, writer parental-type. Is cool. Especially with book as well as constant articles; sounds like a natty job to have. Although I suppose deadlines are a pain in the arse.

Not constant; she freelances for historical societies and stuff. She's trying to find more work now, and I think she might be thinking about going back to school for some degree or other. *grins* She wants me to help her on the math parts.

*nods* That sounds a bit unnerving if you can't find something when you need it, but - aw heck. Oooh. :)

Good for her. We get a lot of 'mature students' coming in to our Uni, and they seem to really like going back. Good luck to her.

It's almost amusing, considering her age, and my dad's thinking is "eh, she'll grow out of it soon enough", but I think it's pretty cool.
