While on the subject of awesome I'd like to link to Reynard Noir: The Seedy Underworld of Slylock Fox.
It’s simple: take something light and frivolous and treat it as if it were totally serious. Like, for example, treating a children’s comic about a cartoon fox who solves the sort of mysteries that you’d expect on a Saturday morning cartoon, and treat it like it was an Orson Wells movie starring Humphrey Bogart and Jimmy Cagney, written by Frank Miller.
As a fan of light-hearted subjects played straight (with plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor on the side, of course), I fully recommend it to anyone who also wants to stay up until one in the morning seeing what's going to happen next and if Max ever gets a clue.

Slylock Fox? I still do those every Saturday. Oh, memories. This will prove amusing. *peers into site curiously*

Noir!Slylock is awesome, and made even more awesome by the little references to other media he keeps throwing in--apparently in this 'verse, Aslan is the equivalent of Jesus.
